Mad Hatterz
The term ‘mad as a hatter’ derives from the fact that mercury was originally used in the making of hats. This was known to have affected the nervous systems of hatters, causing them to tremble and appear insane.
Back in time
I made this in college a few years ago now for our film project. Kim is the 'actress', the film was made by taking photographs and layering them into photoshop on jpegs. Over 100 frames and only about 20 seconds long!!
Was good fun though ^^*

Impossible!?

Why the British hate the Winter Olympics, is not a worthy article.
This is a return to the article written in my University paper
There is something about watching the Winter Olympics which can make your heart jump up into your throat, sure maybe part of it is the schadenfreude, but I’m positive those who watch it for the skill and dedication of the athletes will tell you otherwise.
Enough to make rooms of people sit around their televisions at three in the morning to watch the live action, or get up at the crack of dawn to catch up online.
Maybe it’s because these sports aren’t just about the big game, it’s the training and precise science of friction of a ‘tray’, your only protection being that crash helmet some may dismiss.
Most of you would assume Milton Keynes may not be the best place to excel at Alpine skiing, but it’s one of the best places to start. There is no substitute for the breath taking views you experience on the piste, but what’s the point of being at the top if you don’t know how to get down?
The Snow Leopard from Ghana (Kwame Nkrumah-Acheampong) who began on Milton Keynes came 54th in the men’s slalom, not bad for someone who has only been training for 6 years, and had to move away from his home and country to do so.
Not unlike our own national superstar Michael Edwards in 1988. He was the only British Competitor in his field, and took what he loved as far as he could go. When asked about his fear of jumping “Of course I was. There was always a chance that my next jump could be my last”. He was mentioned in the closing ceremony "At this Games, some competitors have won gold, some have broken records, and some of you have even soared like an eagle." At that moment, 100,000 people in the stadium roared "Eddie! Eddie!" A hero.
Only 19 countries held Gold medals this year (regardless of how many each country held) Great Britain was one of them.
This lack of bling doesn’t mean that we can’t enjoy watching these events, though. How many of us get excited about the Football World Cup, even though our last win was 44 years ago. It’s about cheering on our nation to do something great, be a part of a sporting community, no matter how little of it you know about – but never let the truth get in the way of an amusing story.

Are you a member of the Simple VIP club?
I'm a member of the Simple VIP Club! and they sent me something free yesterday! A lip moisturiser! Which is awesome btw :)
I've been a member of starbucks.co.uk for aaaages and they never send me ANYTHING!
Lips lips lips
Illness of the Litly kind!
Well, I've been in bed for two days now after being hit by a bug.
There's only really two possibilities - When travelling through London an old Gypsy woman gave me a curse
Or it was the Lilt sold to my boyfriend by Sainsburys, which was a month out of date.
Needless to say, he jumped on his white horse and went and told them how silly they were. So they gave him a £30 voucher and told him to go and be quiet.
I wouldn't have expected so much, if it wasn't for the fact I missed work, which I think they hate me for!
Today I was meant to be meeting up with his parents, too, so missed out on that!
I might go back to sleep now, and dream of my robot friends again!!

Good Luck
I went shopping today, and on my way into town I stepped in what I can only assume to be a dead rat.
I found two dresses, a present for my nan, and a coat for snowboarding, the last of it's size in the sale.
I highly recommend that everyone should find their own lucky roadkill!!

The Man Your Man Could Smell Like
Grabbed this video from YouTube, after @W2Optimisim tweeted it.
Absolutely made my morning.
The quick tempo of the copy, the placement of the actor was just fantastic.
Wieden + Kennedy have done a sterling job.
Good morning world!

Main Event 2010
Very cool billboards
http://10steps.sg/inspirations/artworks/50-extraordinary-and-attractive-billboards/
Hopefully that link will last a while, some really cool ideas there. The ipod image is awesome, and I think the McDonalds at the end works really well, even though I'm not their biggest fan!!

New York Summer...c'td
It would seem New York will wait
After talking to one of the only people who can ever decipher my thoughts, my mother explained to me, as a student, I'm a nutter
"Of course, mother! How did I miss this!?"
So, simply, after re-budgeting my budget, we figured that I could go on Main Event with Bucksnowsoc, then live in High Wycombe, but try to work in London Agencies...
And save more money and do New York next year.
It seems a fair compromise.

Lunar New Year

Siberian tigers sit up gesturing to visitors during a show at a zoo on the second day of the Lunar New Year in Fuzhou, China.
week in pictures - msn site
This is so sad, that such beautiful animals are made to do something so wrong. The anthropomorphism drooled over by the public is so demoralising. Gah. These animals are endangered, even those still living are losing their wild ways.
It was my dream when I was younger to go and see Tigers in their natural habitat. Maybe I should look back into that, before it is too late
Body Shop

Against Animal Testing. For Animal Protection.
We have never, and will never, test our cosmetic products on animals. We also don't commission others to do it for us. In fact, we campaigned for years to bring about a ban on testing cosmetics on animals. We are among the few companies to comply with the stringent requirements of the internationally recognized Humane Cosmetics Standard.
We also ensure all our products are suitable for vegetarians and seek out alternative sources of ingredients that do not contribute to the destruction of habitat of endangered animals, or cause animal suffering. We just think it's what everyone should do.
Pioneering Cruelty-Free Musk
As much as we loved the sexy scent of musk, we hated the cruelty associated with gathering musk from deer. So, we pioneered a cruelty free alternative, which we use in our White Musk® fragrance, our most popular fragrance around the world. And if that weren't enough, beginning in 2009, we'll start introducing Community Trade organic alcohol into our fragrances.
Life-Saving Soap
Even something as small as a bar of soap can make a huge difference. Palm oil is used in everything from margarine to our glycerin soaps. Our soap bars now contain only palm oil from sustainable sources in Columbia. This means we're not contributing to deforestation, threatening the precious habitat of endangered species like the orangutan.
The forests of Malaysia and Indonesia, where 90% of the world's palm oil is harvested, are also home to 100% of the world's orangutans. Where once 300,000 orangutans roamed, 50,000 now struggle for survival.
The Body Shop® was one of the first retailers to join The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil, which is pioneering international efforts to make palm production less environmentally destructive.
What I would really like to know, is if they don't do testing on animals, what do they test on?!
New York Summer?
So I have 3 choices for Summer this year...
Stay in High Wycombe, work in Starbucks full time and be lonely as everyone would have gone their separate ways at the end of term
Stay with mom and dad in Burnham-on-Sea, where I don't have any means of transport, no job and no friends (They've just moved out of the village/town I grew up in!) I'd have to travel ages on a bus to get to work I'm not certain to have
or, and this is my favourite option
Stay in New York with one of my best friends, Kim. Either transfer to Starbucks over there or do my best to get some low paid but more than awesome placement in an awesome advertising agency
...I think we all know which one I will choose...
Suppose I'd better get my skates on and start writing some letters to the guys across the pond :D
